NEIGHBOURHOOD PLANNING

Neighbourhood Planning should be based upon a robust understanding of context.  That is the whole point of producing a Neighbourhood plan, so that the people who know an area best get to direct where it should go in the future.  TheUrbanGlow undertakes all forms of Neighbourhood Planning work but emphasises an analysis led approach.  
Recent work has been involved with the Aireborough Neighbourhood Plan aireboroughnf.wordpress.com undertaking characterisation work so that residents can understand where their place came from in order to effectively plan its future.

WORKSHOPS & INSPIRATION

TheUrbanGlow has an excellent track record of providing expert advocacy of Urban Design for a wide range of audiences.  From Chief Executives to Local Councillors, from neighbours to school children.  I have also, in previous work related roles been involved with Secured by Design Training for the UK Police Force and have undertaken joint workshops with Internationally recognised experts like Gehl Architects.

EXPERT WITNESS

I am a competent and well practised Urban Design and Heritage Expert Witness and currently have a 100% record of success of defending Appeals in a Local Authority context.
